Why ban plastic bags? When people need a bag, they buy a reuseable one instead.

A 5 cent tax was enacted on bags where I live. Just about everyone stopped using disposable plastic bags. Still, could get a bag if you really needed one.

How much do you enjoy exploding unexploded ordinance?

Helping people while blowing up stuff seems like it would be very satisfying and fun.

Bump keys are horribly ineffective in doors with crap, stiff locks that are hard to open. I have some doors that barely open with the proper keys...

It's better than the US system but not perfect. Drug prescriptions are not covered, and we've had severe drug shortages that kill people.

One of my very intelligient freinds would likely be dead if he didn't learn how to manafacture his non physcoactive drugs during a shortage.

Non physcoactive drugs that don't have a recreational purpose, such as life saving heart medication are generally not criminally illegal to posess without a prescription. However, if you order them from outside the country and get caught, they will be seized. You'll get a letter in the mail warning you about the dangers of taking your non domestically sourced HIV medication despite the fact you're counting down the days until you die by not taking it.

As pointed out, below, if you don't have drug coverage in my province you can apply to the Trillium program and I have a few middle or upper middle class friends who otherwise don't have coverage and use it. Applications are very often rejected and we still have severe problems with drug shortages.
