Hi As a foreigner applying for a job in a different country, what are the different things that employers look into compared to their citizens?

Thanks. I'm looking into Germany (I speak german since I was 8) and maybe Ireland(I heard they are trying to get their young people back that moved out during the recession). As a non EU citizen, but being able to travel visa free through schengen, will hopefully minimize those requirements.
