Unfortunately, we're already there. Not that sending young men to die in wars is a good thing, but the use of drones gives a sense of detachment. I hope we can use technology to move past war, not perpetuate it.

Also, thank you to your grandfather for taking the time to do this. It's inspiring to hear such wise words from a man who has seen the worst in humanity.

Is there anything that you want people to know about Ferguson that we're not seeing in the news?

Edit: Also, I know things are rough there right now, but I hope you know that a lot of people in the world think what you are doing for the people of Ferguson is just awesome. Knowledge is power, so keep up the good fight!

There was a story on NPR recently about the youth of Russia eschewing state-run media and forming their own opinions via outside news sources. Was there a similar movement back in the USSR? I understand that it's a lot harder to ban the internet than to ban books, but is this a good reason to hope for change somewhere down the line?
