Why Tesla?

Well, take me for example. I want to go to college for journalism but I can't afford it. I know it's not engineering, and that I would likely struggle to pay back the loans. But does this mean that I shouldn't go to college? At the end of the day, someone's gotta be a journalist, but just because my parents aren't rich shouldn't exclude me from pursuing the career I want.

A more educated populous is always for the better. How is that not self evident? We're losing in education to other countries largely in part due to the fact that college isn't affordable here, and it's affordable everywhere else. I can tell you personally I'd be a lot closer to a degree than I am now if I could afford college, but I can't afford $15k/year minimum, and I can't afford that debt, either.

That doesn't mean I'm stupid, or shouldn't go to college because 'not everyone needs to go'. Well, I do want to go, but I can't afford it, and those cases are not good for the economy or country whatsoever.
