Don't most people who receive closed fracture TBI's survive? Isn't it the open/penetrating TBI's that kill?

I see. I feel like that came off kinda dick-ish. I asked because I had a near fatal motorcycle and a "severe TBI" was among my many injuries. My doctors never really talked about it and never really stressed any type of outpatient treatment/evaluation when I left the hospital. After I left that comment, I read up on it a bit more. I feel like I should probably go talk to some doctors now haha.
