What do you think of the "Kill, Don't Clean, Oiled Birds" approach, with "experts" saying it's more humane to euthanize them rather than spending the time and effort to clean them when most die (According to the experts, I'm note sure of the statistics on it)

I never suggested that I wouldn't save them, I asked OP what OP thought about the approach.

And I never suggested just because they were birds it was humane, it was the fact that they (according to the report) were continuing to suffer and die shortly after being cleaned and released.

I see, trust me I wish that all the affected animals could be cleaned and live a long happy life.

The only reason I would euthanise an animal (I have) or human would be if they were severely suffering and nothing could be done.

I'm very glad to hear it. I did take the article with a grain of salt but thought it would be interesting for people's opinions.
