You mention the guests are often rude and hostile. Are some routes worse than others? Or are types of people worse than others?

I was just on a cruise and had a long conversation with the art auctioneer. One thing he mentioned that a lot of people on cruises don't get out a lot and don't see a lot of high-end art. So this is new for them, and therefore it's his job to train them on different art styles and what to look for in art. After that the guests are on their own.

I am middle aged with kids. Those all sound very familiar tactics. If it ain’t written down, it don’t get done.

I guess I disagree because I disagree with your assumptions and definitions of ‘gender’. I might agree that ‘gender roles’ are a social construct but not gender itself.
