It's an excellent thing you're doing. Hamsters get such a crappy deal a lot of the time due to virtually nobody understanding how to look after them properly and keeping them in tiny cages. I'm a hamster owner myself and have a year old Syrian who acts like a princess. Amazing that they have personality!
What would you recommend to someone thinking about starting a similar rescue project? Any tips?
