Rule 1: By a GIA certified diamond or AGS certified diamond - nothing else.

Rule 2: COMPARE! Many sites out there like www.diamondreview.com or www.diamonse.info which let you compare prices.

Tip: Use our cut score calculator to find out what we think about a diamond, even if we dont sell it: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/cut_score_calculator

We do maintain security like in the movies - its the diamond biz! And you can fit 10's of millions of dollars worth of diamonds in your pocket, so safety and security is a major priority.

The age group online seems to be 23-90 - I was VERY surprised to find that a lot of silver surfers (older folks - with grey hair) make HUGE purchases online with us. That was the most shocking thing I learned over the last few years. I think it has to do with experience - they know they are going to pay ridiculous markups in jewelry stores offline, and are confident in us and their own diamond knowledge to make $20,000+ transactions over the internet.

First, our markup does not change based on "ideal" cut diamonds - we list diamonds from all over the world, direct from the polishers, to our office and then in a ring or to our clients. So its a low and fixed markup.

Second, we dont hold any inventory so we dont have a reason to sell you a diamond over the next, except for quality, make and price. So in essence our goal is ALWAYS to sell you the best priced diamond available, with the absolute best specs.

Our cut score algorithm is very very strict on diamonds and it not having an impact on our markup means that you can find substantial deals when shopping compared to our suppliers which all tend to group diamonds with the same 4 C's and little to no distinction between hundreds of seemingly similar diamonds.

The third major difference is that every ring we make is bespoke to the diamond and finger size - no cookie cutter made in China jewelry. Everything is made to order, and CAD files are modified for each customer, side-stones are selected to match each center diamond.

Thats awesome, I bet my father has had lunch, joked or done business with your father or grandfather! Im a 4th generation diamond dealer. My father is a diamond dealer, as was his father, and my great-grandmother was a diamond dealer!

Diamonds that are in conflict at the moment mostly come from the Marange mines, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marange_diamond_fields

They may be cheaper but we dont sell them, its fairly easy to spot these diamonds as they are usually green in tinge/color, trade-wide we have banned these diamonds. I suspect they get resold in developing countries.

When I have spotted them worldwide the prices were about 8-10% less then diamonds that didnt have conflicts attached to them - really they are not that much cheaper for consumers and certainly not worth it because of the ongoing conflict.
