I'm 'self*-taught,' so I'm missing some of the formal CS background knowledge. If a recursive approach works, are there generally any dangers to using it?

1) who is doing the coolest ISRU work?

2) Has the US military's space program pushed out any cool tech on it's own, or does it all get filtered to the public through NASA?
