I really like this response because (incoming nerd) I can relate to alot of these dilemmas as a Dungeon Master playing D&D.

I set up some really cool interaction....now how do I subtly guide a party full of free-will adventurers there without being TOO obvious about guiding them there...

Have you really ever messed up right in front of a family? What was the outcome of that?
