Can you tell us something about your grandparents or the oldest relative that you can remember?

I live in St Croix, USVI and have been subject to many hurricanes including Maria and Irma. There are a lot of local “wisdoms” that go around based on what side of the Hurricane is best or worst to be on. Where would you say the worst part of the hurricane is based on a quadrant type map? I.e. locals say the northeast eyewall is the absolute worst.
