My partner came out as mtf to me on Friday. We are still sort of waffling through things together but now that she's being honest with herself the dysphoria is hitting pretty hard. Any advice for a partner on how to help in the very early stages of transition?

From reading /r/mypartneristrans it appears my desire to be supportive, mixed with a personal mourning for the future and husband I thought I'd have, are pretty common.

Already have relationship counseling scheduled and individual counseling for her. Thanks for the link, had no idea about that sub.

Not OP but I went through theatre school and for a lot of the musical theatre types cruise ship entertainment is some of the best money you can make with those skills. Most places on land want to pay dancers and singers in Exposure Bucks so it's a viable way to build up a resume before trying to break into LA or NYC.

This sounds like a great alternative to stripping my way through college. How does one find a legitimate business like this? What are the qualifications?
