THIS! My mom works for a wealthy family and the daughter had just bought tons of hanging baskets. Then my mom noticed all these dead bees around every single one. She talked to the family and not only did they contact the nursery but they told everyone in town (Small town, so this is a big deal) and also got rid of every hanging basket they purchased from that nursery.

What people don't think about, is how hard that animal worked to stalk and catch their prey. That animal needs to eat and could have hungry babies, so by "saving" one you may be dooming another, especially for animals that do not eat often and have to spend a lot of time on the hunt to find their meal.

in hard situations like this I try to think of it this way... "Would the person I'm protecting do the same for me if the roles were reversed?"

I think it's safe to say in this situation, no, they would not.

I hope you can let go of any guilt you might feel and do what you need to do. Eventually your credit will be so bad they need to come up with a new solution which will just cause more pain for others in the future most likely.

no it's not the entire year... there are "Seasons" for different fruits/veggies, and you have to work quick once things are ripe. I used to pick berries as a teenager for extra money, and man I loved when it rained the night before cause that meant I couldn't pick strawberries till at least noon. YAY FOR SLEEPING IN!
