Cheers to you! I am an LPN/PCA working with a 55-year-old woman with SMA. She was diagnosed at the age of three, but walked until her 40s. The running joke we have is that no matter what injuries she gets, or how her disease manifests, it seems that her health care providers say "I've never heard of that before." I think it's great that you can keep a good attitude and think about how your mindset effects others. I've seen patients who get so bogged down in their own situation that it makes it hard to see what others see. Both you and my client embrace the humor and just roll with what SMA throws at you. ("roll with it" - you see what I did there? :D)

Thank you for sharing your story. I am an LPN who works with a woman who has SMA, but her condition is much less severe than your daughter's. I am glad to see that she is loved and that she knows she's loved and important!

I've always found your sense of humor to be subtle, so imagine my surprise when you popped up in the League. What did you think when you were approached to be that skeevy porn guy? (Just so you know, I think you are great in everything, even with a penis on your face!)
