Hi thanks for doing this AMA. I had read the original one and it made me think. I understand what you describe is very much unique to US federal regulation and labour market. Any idea how it is in the UK or Europe? Tales from the field?

Is your research limited to contemporary "subject s" for lack of a better word, partecipante in your studies? Have you ever done / considered doing work with the people that worked on the massive secret projects of the second world war? Bletchley park is an egregious example of a secret projects whose partecipants felt bound to secrecy to a point that may be considered almost an higher calling (it didn't help that the project never gained public recognition until much later than the war, unlike perhaps US projects of the kind).

As the last living witnesses of that unique time are leaving us, I feel it's important to record preserve and share their lived experiences.

Unrelated question, "is it normal" to feel a deep sense of shame connected to "my own secrets" were they ever revealed?
