You mentioned your working style is to live in the place you are reporting from and building your world and networks around the events. I think a lot of journalists finish with a story and move on, often ceasing contact with sources or the subject. Can you talk about how you navigate those attachments when you are so invested in a place and its people? Are you able to stay in touch, follow up etc or does the new context take over?
