I've been to Ethiopia a few times. Their are a lot of Americans there that try to help situations there. There is a general consensus that Americans are good. Weird, right?

How is it bragging? He is announcing a fund matching partnership starting with a base donation, which combined gives 100 million meals to people in need. Why do you feel the need to shit on this?

This is the similar people who complain about charities spending money on ad campaigns.

I mean.. They quote the offending message and tell you why it happened. There isn't much ambiguity. I'm actually fine with having overly-sensitive moderation when minors are involved. The lack of follow-up with my appeal leads me to suspect a concerning lack of support, however.

Usually, someone titling themselves as a philanthropist doesn't just throw a few dollars at something, they spend time actively supporting them. Just search 'philanthropist' in /r/iama and you'll find you're trying to add a negative connotation to a common practice of people who are actively supporting a charity.
