500 Days of Summer really hit close to home, mainly because of how real it was. Having been in both Summer’s and Tom’s shoes on the relationship spectrum, I really loved the way the film portrayed normal human emotions in relationships. It didn’t demonize Summer for feeling the way she did, nor did it Tom. Both of their cases were valid, and probably resonated with many people.

My question for you is— did playing Tom change how you view rejecting/being rejected? As amazing and talented as you are, I can imagine you’ve faced a lot of it at some point, being in the Hollywood industry and all. What advice can you give someone who has been rejected (from a job, family member, love interest, school, etc..?) We all know how big of a hit it can take on our self-worth. Thanks & stay sexy! ;D

Hidey ho! You’re one of my favorite bands out there. Your fourth album gets me through my work days. My questions:

1. Is there any connection between Yamaha and California? They both seem to be about losing someone/letting someone go. Was it based on the same person/relationship?

2. Matthew – Cool ranch Doritos or nacho cheese Doritos?

Yeah, my heart broke a smidgen whole fucking lot.
