"Prison justice" isn't about no-nonsense, rough-and-ready kind of guys enforcing some primal form of justice in the absence of better law enforcement.

It's about a bunch of certifiably-terrible people minimizing their own crimes, clinging onto whatever "good" they think remains in them and scapegoating somebody else for being "worse" (more likely, just weaker) than them.
