I absolutely love the "Simple Things" song that Randy Travis did in the episode where Mr. Hyunh became a country singer. Any interesting backstory behind the song?

My understanding is that the AoA sensor failure was the reason to leave the throttles in full power. If your instrumentation is telling you that you're stalling, you leave the power on. Otherwise, in the case that the instrumentation is correct, cutting the power will just make things worse and you'll be more likely to enter a full stall and crash.

They didn't turn back on the MCAS. They turned back on the electric trim, probably hoping to get the stabilizer back in trim enough to be able to adjust it manually with the trim wheels. Unfortunately, MCAS kicked in again and plunged them into the ground instead.
