Schools sometimes have money set aside to get undergraduates into research. A lot of lab's will also gladly take undergraduates on in order to receive help.

As a follow up question. What about the logjam in computational power that is shortly coming due to the vast number of DNA, RNA, and protein sequencing? Is there anything that you know of in the pipeline to help with that?

My MIL suffers from near crippling arthritis to the point that she cannot walk at times. She is afraid of applying for SS benefits because a "specialist" told her that she would not receive them due to the fact she was a stay at home wife for a long time. Is she correct (she did have 10+ years working before then I believe), or are they just trying to save themselves the wait?

Has there been any previous studies on this?

So, I've been badgered to come over here by a friend of mine posting on FB. But, as it is, I'll try and figure out a question.

Mining of asteroids has been an idea for a long time to increase resources. Does this project have any aims to pursue that avenue?

Also, as a research assistant for a genetics lab I am wondering how odd it is to run a project with a 10 year wait for data collection (4 years bugged me personally)
