1. What are your thoughts on the idea that debate as a sport is made to be "fair", either side can win. Even though some debates aren't meant to be fair?

2a. What is used in competitive debate that isn't used enough in real debates?

2c. What have you seen in competitive debate that is used in real life debate but you would like to see it disappear?

1. I could argue that most debates are very weak. Far too often I've seen presenting a high volume of low quality "facts" as a method of "winning" debates. I know this is seen in competitive debate also, how do you combat this?

2. "side switch" is a good skill to have, but isn't this just a glorified pro/con list?

3. You think about debate all the time, you probably also think about national policy all the time.. what simple laws would you like to change?

4. Name one or a couple things you find backwards about our society, that you wish would change.
