Have you had any turn on's that changed negatively because of your job?

Cooks often hate to cook when they're off work. Paramedics become immune to gore. Some of the messiest people I've known have been housekeepers...etc

No religious dispute in history has ever been about religion. It's always about governing power. The government in question might use religion as a motivating factor for it's population, but it's ALL about the power of the government.

The government will use religion as a way to motivate the public but the conflict itself is always about power.

The reason behind the Crusades wasn't religion. Yes, religion was used to get the populace fired up. The Crusades was about reopening trade routes with the far East. When the European powers realized they didn't have military might to keep the trade routes open, they started sailing. The Columbus and Magellan expositions were extensions of the Crusades.

If it's only about religion, why are governments involved? It's all about power of some sort. It could be strategic or economic. There is always a deeper reason than religion.
