Were there any times you and/or your family were in direct danger due to law enforcement, (violent) criminals or the process of making the hooch itself?

Are there any media depictions which capture it well? I love the movie Remains of the Day, for example, but it honestly seems incredibly weird to a stateside middle-class ne'er-do-well.

For the same reason girls with big boobs get shared in picture groups - it's what you can see in pictures.

In my experience, the bullshit is piled up in the same ways on either side of the aisle.
