Do you think being a polyglot is a a natural ability or a learned ability? I can pick up basics of languages very quickly and my accent is quite good in most. I just have a hard time getting above basic. I'm a native English speaker. I've also studied French, German, Spanish, and a bit of Latin. How can I accelerate into "fluency" rather than just knowing a bit of conversation?

Self serving question! All my life I've wanted to work with animals but my path led me completely away from that. Now I am unhappy with my career and desperately wish I would have gone the path of zoology or animal biology. I'm 32, do you think it's too late in the game for me to get into the animal rescue/rehab/care field?
