Hi Nahko, Black As Night is such a positively-charged and influential song, it touched so many with the wise lyrics and soul-moving melody (including myself!). It is truly medicine. How did this song come to you when you wrote it? What's the big inspiration behind it?

I am no master I know nothing… But I am a servant and I know something… the lines from Black as night that gets me thinking the most… Does it mean that the poorer ones in society tend to be the wiser ones? And that power (being master) doesn't necessarily bring you wisdom and light? Love X
