I read the Appellate Court Opinion upholding his sentence. He scored so high he was mandatory life in prison on the federal sentencing guidelines.

Actually he scored off the chart, now that I think about it. That's what happens though when you operate a giant criminal conspiracy for years without getting caught. His actual score was over 50.
