Some of what the previous poster said is accurate and some is ... harder to quantify that way in a legal sense. California is not a contributory negligence state. Meaning there is no set percentage that has to be met, because California does comparative negligence. Your negligence percentage assignment reduces your recovery. It is possible for you to recover/reduce damages at a 99% contribution rate in the state. So that bodes well.

The problem is the idea of comparing faults. That's a question the jury determines and you'd need to seriously consider how much you're willing to let them decide you contributed to the "alleged" rape, because it's not usually favorable. Consider how recent rape cases have gone before you pursue especially since it doesn't sound like you went to record it with police or the hospital. (I put alleged in quotes not to take the piss out of you but because while I believe your story, he hasn't been charged and we're talking legal which you'd have to get used to a lawyer speaking this way.)

This lack of previous action and subsequent regret (which you've publicly posted on Reddit now) can serve as their defense pretty easily and make the suit harder. "Your honor, the plaintiff wants you to make my client pay for her regrets and mistakes." Is something you'd likely hear if it ever got to trial. It's not true, but it stacks the deck against you pretty heavily.

And suits cost money. You said you were struggling to pay your tuition initially which led to your choice. Consider that a pittance for the amount it would take to make this go your way and all they would have to do is bring in more girls and film more scenes or declare bankruptcy to avoid most of their costs. While you would have to work day and night to finance your suit or find someone willing to champion it for you. (I'm sure there are some organizations out there.)

You'd also want to consider challenges for unscrupulous business practices since porn is a business. And those claims may serve you better than a claim of rape similar to how the US government busts most drug cartels on tax charges rather than drugs.

There are a lot of things to consider before taking legal recourse especially whether legal recourse is the best course of action. What would be the actual purpose? To save other girls? To make Dre pay? To ruin GDP? And can that be served in some other way that would be better like the public backlash against James Deen when he was accused of Domestic Abuse?

If you have questions let me know. I'll see if I can address them.

Oh and just a random thought, but you may want to consider getting your electrician's license. It pays well and you can work while not in classes. Plus it's always a good fall back.
