I was fired from my CFA back in high school for habitually forgetting to say "my pleasure," and was told it was corporate protocol.

To this very day, customer service remains my unanimous strong suit. And not once have I cared to utter such a ridiculously scripted phrase like "my pleasure" since my CFA days.

I really appreciate your candor, but I wasn't saying that in need of encouragement; like I said, it was high school, so my feelings aren't hurt so much now that I'm all grow'd up. Again, though, thank you!

I was actually saying it to reiterate what you've said here in the comments: gotta mix it up! My first instinct as a customer at CFA when an employee says "my pleasure" is to think to myself, I wonder how many times a day he/she says that. It has to be so many times that the phrase no longer serves any purpose from the employee's standpoint.

So, in turn, I'm glad to see that you, as a Team Leader, encourage your employees' creativity with their verbiage. Nice job!
