Almost everyone I know who buys Intel processors, buys them simply because it's Intel. They've continually met their expectations and lasted a decently long time. I'm not sure about your other products. My brother has an Intel SSD, but the SSD market right now mainly seems to be "Samsung, and then everybody else." Samsung didn't get to that point through marketing though, they got there through selling an increasingly fast and reliable product.

As far as processor marketing goes, I think it speaks for itself. Other companies who buy Intel CPUs for their machines know what they want, and the majority of PC users who "build their own" know what they want also. I think the #1 way to market a CPU is to push the reliability and power more quickly than software can push back.

If a person is using an Intel CPU for 5 years and still running what is needed to run, what processor do you think they are going to buy when they get a new machine? The best form of hardware marketing is having the best product.

which merell trail shoes? Trail gloves?

I had the trail glove 3s but wore them into the ground. The laces also start to fall apart fairly quickly. Might try out the 4s (or 5s if they're on them already).

What's your way of dealing with sand flies?

I was in Medidi National Park in Bolivia and the sand flies were just terrible. I had long sleeves on and my rain jacket hood up, bug spray on my hands and face, but it didn't really seem to do much. This was on a sandbank / beach though next to the river.
