I don't know a lot of conservatives who push for universal healthcare or "strengthening" social security.

How many people did you talk to? 3?

Without borders there is no country. It's as simple as that.

No country can afford to allow immigration unfettered - especially considering something in the realm of 80% of illegal immigrants that come here are immediately on some form of welfare. That's not fair to legal immigrants nor is it fair to all other Americans.

Considering that only 8-10% of prisons are private I call bullshit.

nobody with an IQ over 50 or an honest perspective actually agrees that the president should be elected based on popular vote.

The US is not a true Democracy - it's a representative REPUBLIC. It means that we don't act based on mob rule - which is precisely what a popular vote is. It would mean candidates would only need to campaign in DC, CA, TX, FL, and probably call it a day. Does that make sense?

a lot? both sides? nobody cares that a bunch of coastal crybabies and some sore losers are upset their candidate lost...and I haven't seen a whole helluva lot of people on the right "clamoring for" burning down or starting over.

60+ million people already placed their vote for the guy that won - what's "a lot" of people on both sides? you mean the talking heads on TV complaining that Hillary lost and that she should have won due to the popular vote?
