Um, Assyrians still exist and are a completely separate people. And I should add that the Kurds mercilessly persecute the Assyrians as they are a very small, Christian minority and routinely undertake oppressive actions against them, such as land theft and the removal of democratically elected officials to be replaced with loyal to the Kurdish Democratic Party.
