In one of the other replies in this thread you agree with the label that Caolan is opportunistic and self-serving. To that end, do you think the previous alt-right views he held were ever his own? It is suggested in the video that he was groomed, something I did not personally pick up on from watching. Similarly, do you think the views he has now are genuine? What about the desire to rectify the damage he has caused? At the end of the video, Tommy insinuates that Caelans actions are about self preservation which seems the most accurate to me. The suggestion that he feared punishment or retribution are the motivator rather than a genuine change in views.
