Well great, you told us what you wished for and now it isn't going to come true. =(

I had my unreasonably high hopes.

I thought that, under the current situation, hiring might be in a bit of a lull for NASA. Was that a faulty assumption? I have a friend with a Masters in Space Systems Engineering that I've been bugging to apply but she's iffy because of the funding scrutiny.
