Can you explain a bit more about inflammatory foods?

I used to restore cars, and we used tons of PB Blaster. It won't do anything for the corrosion, but it will seep through and lubricate any gaps, cutting down the total friction keeping the post in place. I'd definitely use some if you just got the post to move a little, giving it some space between the post and the frame.
