I believe rcs stands for reaction control system it is like small thrusters used for tiny delta v changes. I only know this due to kerbal space program.

I hope you feeling better, I have ulcerative colitis also (which is similar to crohns but only affects the large intestine) and I had a really bad flare last time and I almost needed a colectomy. Due to my condition I have to take a lot of medicine everyday to prevent another flare.
