When I read this I actually wept really really hard. It hurt me in my soul and that's a feeling I haven't had in a really long time. I know that the LDS church in no way, shape, or form is as bad as the FLDS. It's definitely not a cult but when I was in that religion I felt so trapped. It ruined parts of my life but I was never denied an education. I highly suggest you look into moving forward with you life... harboring all that hatred towards religion, people from you past, and everything involved will only bring you to a darker place. Release the hate and take that one dudes advice: move to Hawaii and not give a fuck about those who hurt you in the past. I am so sorry this happened to you but your life is important. It's worth living. Don't let a man take that away from you. Be strong.
