Just throwing it out there that not all pedophiles are rapists/child molesters. You could be a pedophile your entire life and never do anything illegal (though it's obviously suggested that you see someone about your feelings, since it's considered a mental illness).

Not OP, but I'll give this a go really quick.

This page sheds a little light on that issue (#3/#7), including how some rapists justify their actions because the person appeared to be aroused. I'd guess that it has something to do with the belief that erection/ejaculation = arousal in all circumstances, and not (as OP mentioned in previous posts) a fully biological/autonomic reaction. It's obviously easier to see a male orgasm than a female orgasm, as well, so perhaps more perpetrators of sexual violence see the erection/ejaculation and justify their actions based on that.

(It's also worth sharing that most male victims of sexual assault were facing a male perpetrator.)
