Yeah, Gordon definitely loved her. But in fairness it seemed like she needed it. I mean the apple pie episode where she was so fucking sure she had fucked it up but it turned out to be brilliant, Gordon definitely lifted her a bit there. Which confidence is something she needed.

Plus, I often got the vibe the Joe wasn't really confident in her. Yeah he's the "bad guy Simon" of Master Chef, but he openly praised other people over her.

Anyway I pretty much always thought her food looked tastier. Haha.

Is the high amount of money because rental stores are charged a sort of "renter's fee" by the studios/tape companies/whatever as supposed to the average joe buying them?

I only ask because I know some video stores just buy their DVDs/games from other stores. (I work in a video game store and we used to get an employee from the local chain preorder several copies of each game to rent out.)

But maybe it was different where you are or back then?
