I don't mean to seem too dark, but do you see a lot of depression and alcohol abuse among volunteers? The reason I ask is that I was bound to go into Peace Corps a few years back (had been accepted and given a country and rough departure date) and I kept hearing stories of volunteers who got really depressed during their stint and similarly of volunteers who drank a lot. That wasn't the only reason I chose not to pursue Peace Corps, but it was one of them.
