In a broke time in our lives (we still are, but we were then, too) my boyfriend had his dog and cat die within maybe a month. The day his cat died, my boyfriend, his brother and I were all pretty melancholy and not saying much. With his head in his hands, he quietly said, "we got no jobs, we got no food," then he stood up, balled up his fists and belted, "our pets HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!!"

Minutes later, we are all sprawled around the living room gasping for air in between crying from laughter. It was the only thing that could be said in that moment.

This totally freaked out my dog.

How often is the public lied to? Is there any huge media story where the public has accepted one version of the story, but the truth is far different? And since you mentioned Chris Dorner, do you feel that the police setting fire to the cabin was the best possible solution?
