Hello Mr. Puck! I don't have a question, but just a fun story.

I heavily doubt you'll remember, but about 5 years ago, my mom, my aunt, and I had lunch at your Beverley Hills restaurant Spago. We were excited to hear that you were at the restaurant while we were there, and eagerly awaited to meet you. Before you came, however, we had devised a plan to keep you interested in us. You see, my aunt is a very eccentric woman who loves being social and having long conversations. She had recently moved from Alaska, so we thought that would be very interesting to you. Therefore, we decided that she would lead the conversation, and if you were to ask where we were from, we would all respond with "Alaska."

However, this did not pan out as planned. When you eventually got to our table and introduced yourself, you were very kind, and aimed most of your attention at me (which made sense because I was a 14 year old boy at the time and was fairly interested in cooking). That being said, I had not planned for this. After five or so minutes of nice conversation, you asked the inevitable question directly to me--"So, where are you from?"

Being the honest boy that I was, I regrettfully did not have it in me to lie to you. I did not in fact say "Alaska" as we had planned. I told the truth.

I said "...Bakersfield."

You immediately say, "oh that's not very far" and proceed to walk away, leading to one of my great regrets due to my inability to fib.

Otherwise it was a great story and that was the best burger I ever had, thank you for that.

Wow! I am a HUGE fan of yours, but I want to ask about somebody else:

About a year and a half or so ago, I read some random Facebook article where you mentioned Jack Garratt's song Water as your favorite upcoming song or something. Thanks to you, I'm a massive fan of Jack Garratt's and I've been happy to see him rising in popularity.

Have you been keeping up on Jack and have you listened to his debut album Phase? Do you have any other upcoming artists I should keep my eye on since you're clearly pretty good at picking them out?

P.S. A year or so ago, you put a phone number on Twitter and let fans call you. I must have called about 200 times (obsessive, I know), but never got a line. However, my girlfriend at the time tried once and got to talk to you on the first call. I was jealous to say the least..

Awesome! Thanks for answering! And by the way, Miyazaki is a movie director not a musician haha (still should check him out though). I can't wait to see you again and hopefully hear Far Cry! Fire was probably the most surprisingly intense performance, loved it. Thanks again!
