H1-B is not a scam. There are some India-based companies who scammed the system in the past, but last couple of years, those types of applications have been rejected en-masse. Companies like Google,Microsoft,Facebook are not scams, and they do not pay their H1B employees any less than US citizens.

Have you read the gang-of-eight proposal, and if yes, what are your thoughts on that proposal ?

I am an H1-B worker. I get the best health insurance money can buy (90% paid by employer), and have 4% of my income contribution matched by my employer for 401K. I am not alone. Every single H1-B worker that I know from either my school in India (who moved here for grad school and work here), and graduate school in US (I have a PhD in engineering), get similar benefits. Most top companies then file green card applications for these H1-B employees (which is costly for them).

They ALREADY do that son. Companies like Google,FB,Bloomberg start your GC application within a year of joining on H1-B. Same for the company I work at. It is the process which takes too long.

Your hypothesis is wrong. And most of the "foreign workers" hired by likes of FB,Microsoft,Google don't land in US directly for a job. A big % of them go to grad school in US (2-5 years at good to great universities), and are THEN hired. You have no fucking clue about how it works. Most of these people first start of on a student visa, then transition to H1-B and then to green card.
