alternate title: 1 year ago today I pitched a book idea to reddit through the guise of an AMA as a brainstorming activity. Here I am 1 year later to plug my book.

I would like to point out that I'm just kidding and wouldn't be upset even if it were true.

it's like the difference between a Ted talk and a TedX talk.

My high school had an english teacher that you either loved or hated. you loved him because he was without a doubt the coolest teacher in the school. You hated him because he ran his class like a 300 level british literature course. We would analyze poetry over the entire year and be expected to recall the name, author, and contents of every poem we discussed. This was on top of the required senior english readings (brave new world, founding father documents, some other stuff). He taught his class so that the grades would be a bell curve with the average at 75%. This wasn't even an advanced course, the students in "honors" english class regularly told us how much easier their class was.

anyway, nothing in high school prepared me for college better than that class.

TL;DR really hard high school english class turned out to be awesome experience

you mean insurance fraud? technically nothing, other than the risk of facing legal consequences.

What do you think about deed restricted housing that requires the buyer to both live and work full time in the city or county the house is located? Is that a practical solution to help control home prices being inflated by wealthy investors?
