Hi Maisie! I hear you're a dancer. What is your favorite type of dance and why?

I just want to add to others suggestions that reading The Handmaid's Tale in high school was good, but it didn't really hit me hard until I was in college and reading it while simultaneously watching the RNC. I would encourage you to stay away from party politics, but perhaps give them an assignment to report on a news article with a similar story to an event from THT. That may help them to realize just how close it is to home.

Another thing to add to my defense of the ACA. My family was denied my mother's life insurance policy after she died suddenly when my sister and I were 12 because the insurance company gave her the wrong forms to fill out. Somehow she was supposed to understand that these were the wrong forms despite the insurance company giving them to her to fill out.

Automation is the big problem with security, too. They have all these big fancy machines nowadays, but my dad used to work security for big events with presidents and popes when he was eod, and he seems to think if we had people going through bags by hand and a few sniffer dogs in every location, the whole process would be more efficient, faster and safer. You can trick a machine but you can't trick a bomb dog.
