We live near Calgary, Alberta, Canada and have been off grid for a few years now and don't think there is enough money in the world that could get me to move back into a city.
We own our land outright which I am sure makes this lifestyle that much easier. Combine a no mortgage property with self sufficient energy, water and most waste and you get a receipt for low stress mornings.
