Three questions:

  1. What kind of commissions do you do, Reggie?
  2. What's your favourite Jeff Goldblum film? (That one is for both Kat and Reggie :) )
  3. Where did the name "Macmoons" come from?

Those five years won't be wasted if it has taught you what you definitely don't want to do with your life and motivated you to change directions.

You have almost certainly gained a lot of other vital knowledge and life experience that you may not even realise you have. Now you can pursue your dreams knowing what life is like for the average person slogging away at the daily grind. It can give you a better appreciation of the bigger picture.

You've also just... grown up a lot. Nowadays in most western societies, a 22-year-old is still a kid, fresh out of college with little real world experience, in my opinion (of course I know that's not the case for everyone and may not have been the case for you either, so sorry if it sounds like I'm making huge assumption and generalisations).

Your shit is together, just not in a way that you ever wanted or expected your shit to be organised - that's why it looks and feels like your life isn't right. You've successfully held down a job for five whole years - that's more than some people can do! Use that to see that you can trust in yourself. Now you just have to set about picking up pieces of your shit and rearranging them bit by bit to fit the life you want rather than the life you have. Have I stretched this metaphor too thin? Yes, yes I have is the answer to that question.

Best of luck x

She explained in the post that she decided to help Reggie because she read a local newspaper article about him, and decided to reach out. And she only lives 25 miles away. How many thousand homeless people are you helping?

I'd never even heard of Holy Man before - I'll check it out!

Cheeky follow-up question: a lot of Reggie's art seems to be influenced by film. What are his favourite films?

Not sure that's much better. It's more the out-of-nowhere accusatory second half of his comment that's the problem.
