Former airmen that spent 3 years at Maxwell AFB. What is your opinion on the widespread poverty and discrimination in Alabama? Do you have any plans to address either of these things?

For context, I am Hispanic. It wasn't something that happened every time, but there were times that I went outside of the base and felt like I had a target on my back. My first visit to Prattville, I got told "no espanol" and asked what part of Mexico I was from (and asked for picture ID matching my credit card).

Also, just driving down the road in Montgomery was so depressing. So much poverty.

Meh, stimulants make me more sleepy and tired. I would rather go out for a 8 mile jog or workout in the morning to help me focus on work.

Edit: Wow I get down voted for sharing my treatment. I really do suffer from ADHD. Stimulants and other ADHD meds never worked for me, even though I went on about 6 different types at different dosages. The final straw was when I just passed out at work after taking Adderall XR. My doctor told me to try meditation, exercise, and some new-age stuff. Exercise was the only thing that stuck. Now I just keep working out and staying active to combat my jitteriness and help me focus.

It really does get casual once you start running. Seriously, I started barely doing 2 miles getting winded and sweaty. Now I can easily run for 2-3 hours (although I don't have the time) and I feel more calm and relaxed afterward.

Eight miles is only like a 60-80 minute workout if you are an active runner in good shape.

For me, having ADHD feels like being JD in Scrubs. So many silly day dreams and tangents.
