Do you have any advice for someone who is dreading going back to their hometown for the holidays? Granted, I'll only be there for one day, but many of the circumstances involved is triggering lots of anxiety for me.

Wow thank you. My sisters suffer from drug use/addiction so Al Anon had been suggested to me recently. My mom also isn't the greatest at parenting/enables. (Part of the reason going home is hard.) Therapy in the meantime has been helping me cope with my desire to fix/for my advice to be heard. Realizing that I can't fix everything for someone that I love is hard. TMI maybe but ¯_(ツ)_/¯. Thank you again.
